Our Purpose
At Snuffbooks Online Gallery, our purpose is to create meaningful visual experiences that inspire emotion, curiosity, and reflection—using art, storytelling, and design to bring imagination to life and connect with others on a deeper level.
How did SBO begin?
There was a time when everything I relied on began to fall apart—certainty, identity as well as direction. The things I thought defined me no longer held.
What followed wasn’t a clean or comfortable transition. It was confusion, isolation, and long periods of questioning everything I believed about myself and the world.
At the time, it felt like I was losing something.
Looking back, I understand I was being rebuilt.
The hardest seasons of my life forced me to confront parts of myself I had ignored—fear, doubt, pain, and the quiet truths I had avoided for years. There was no way around it. Only through it. And in going through it, I discovered something most people spend their lives running from: the deeper layers of who I really am.
That process changed me.
What once felt like suffering revealed itself as transformation. What looked like setbacks became the foundation for strength, clarity, and purpose. I learned that growth doesn’t come from comfort—it comes from confrontation, from facing the internal battles most people try to escape.
This way of understanding life closely reflects the ideas of Carl Jung—especially the concept of individuation, the journey of becoming whole by integrating both light and shadow, not by avoiding darkness, but by facing it directly.
Because of that, I no longer see difficult seasons as interruptions. I see them as necessary.
The years that isolate you teach you how to stand on your own. The moments that break you teach you what can’t be broken. The losses strip away what isn’t real so what is real can finally emerge.
My journey, in correlation with SBO, is built on that truth.
Today, everything I create and share comes from that lived experience—the understanding that transformation isn’t something you wait for, it’s something you go through.
It’s uncomfortable. It’s often unseen. But on the other side of it is a version of yourself that is stronger, more grounded, and more real than anything that came before.
I’m not here because life was easy.
I’m here because I didn’t turn away when it wasn’t.
